Looking for a Beli alternative? Here is how Forkpin compares
Beli is great at ranking restaurants with friends. If what you actually want is a record of everywhere you have eaten, without logging every meal, Forkpin works differently.

What Beli does well
Beli is a social restaurant list app founded in 2021. You rank each place by comparing it with restaurants you have already been to, and Beli predicts how much you will like somewhere new and shows how much your friends liked it. It has leaderboards by city and for college campuses, and a big community: the company reports more than 75 million reviews across 30,000 cities. At the end of the year it publishes a recap of your dining called Plated.
If you enjoy ranking, want recommendations from people with similar taste and are happy to log each meal, Beli is hard to beat.
Where Forkpin is different
You do not log anything. Most people already photograph their food. Forkpin looks through your camera roll, finds the meals, checks when and where each photo was taken and suggests the restaurant. You confirm, pick another place or skip. Only what you confirm goes into your passport.
It works backwards. Because it reads photos you already have, your passport can start with meals from before you installed it, so your first Wrapped is not empty.
Your photos stay on your phone. The food detection, including the AI that does it, runs on the iPhone. There is no sign-up: your account lives in your iCloud Keychain, and one tap deletes your stamps and account.
Starred restaurants are marked. When a meal was at a starred or MICHELIN Guide restaurant, Forkpin marks it, so your passport doubles as a Michelin checklist.
Which one should you use?
- Pick Beli if you want to rank places, follow friends' taste and find your next restaurant.
- Pick Forkpin if you want a complete record of where you have eaten, collections of cities, cuisines and stars, and a year-end recap, without the logging.
- Use both if you want both: they do not overlap much.

Questions
Is there a Beli alternative that tracks restaurants automatically?
Forkpin does. Instead of logging and ranking each visit, it looks through the photos already in your camera roll, finds the meals and suggests the restaurant for each one. You confirm with a tap. The photo analysis runs on your iPhone and photos are not uploaded.
Can I use Forkpin and Beli together?
Yes. They do different jobs: Beli for ranking places and finding where to eat next with friends, Forkpin for an automatic record of everywhere you have already eaten.
Is Forkpin on Android?
Not yet. Forkpin is in early access on iPhone.
Does Forkpin rank restaurants like Beli?
No. Forkpin does not ask you to rank or review. It builds a passport of where you ate: cities, cuisines and starred restaurants, plus a Wrapped of your year.
